Toast for a new term!

Basically, today’s the end of my Christmas Vacay. Here are the things I did for the past days…

At the start of my Christmas Vacay, I promised to make my term break as worthwhile as possible.

• I was able to bond with my family
• I was able to watch TV shows like Be Careful With My Heart, Showtime, and the like
• I was able to download and watch movies like A Secret Affair (2012), Sisterakas (2012), Suddenly It’s Magic (2012), Pitch Perfect (2012), Cabin in the Woods (2012), and The Perks of Being a Wallflower (2012)
• I was able to watch movies in a movie house ALONE. I watched MMFF’s Best Picture, One More Try, and the internationally-acclaimed movie, Thy Womb.
• I was able to create an online portfolio which contains my resume and some of my works. Hire me? Yes, hire me!

Before the start of this year, I made 13 rules that I need to follow this year. I should follow those rules.

Tomorrow, January 10, another term will start. A brand new term with more challenging, demanding, and stressful challenges yet a term filled with laughter, love and positivity. Here are my courses, for General Education Courses: I have KASPIL2 and MATAPRE; and for my majors: I have RADIPRO, CONCEPT, WRITING, and VPRODUC. I know this term is totally different from last term. So brace myself for this term! Dr. Sibayan for the second time around!!! Ohyeahhh!!! BELIEVE.

This time, I will be more positive/optimistic in life because I know positive things happen to positive people. #KeepCalmAndBelieveICan! #SoHelpMeGod! #KeepCalmAndGoForGold! #PusoTiwalaPaniniwala! #KeepTheFaith! #FocusBeGratefulBeHumble!

As what I’ve said, the next terms may be hard and stressful but I know it will be worth it in the end…

How did my 2nd Term as a Communication Arts major went?

• Basically, I enjoyed this term mainly because the majors I took were more on active participation and application of what we have learned. The majors I took were FOTOCOM (Basic Photography), INSERCH (Introduction to Research for Production), and PUBLISH (Desktop Publishing). This term was not so stressful and demanding as last term but still, it was. I also took 3 General Education courses: INTOECO (Introduction to Economics) wherein we made a short film about Contractualization, GLOBDEV (Globalization and Development) wherein I made 6 Blogs, 1 movie critique, 1 Advocacy Video and so on, and lastly, the fun HUMAART (Art Appreciation). I was also the project head of TeamComm’s Team Building at Enchanted Kingdom.

What did I do to accomplish all the school works for this term?

• Just like the past terms, by BELIEVING in myself more, by BELIEVING that Almighty God is always there for me…

So, today’s the official start of my Christmas Vacay!!! Yay for that!!! Here are the things I need to accomplish before the start of another challenging, demanding term:

• Of course, bond with family!
• Bond with best friends!
• Enjoy Christmas Vacay!
• Download and watch movies!

Hello Tumblr Land!!!

At the start of my term break, I promised to make my term break worthwhile. Here are things I did during the term break:

• I was able to spend time with family
• I was able to upgrade my Baby Mac’s OS X Lion to OS X Mountain Lion
• I was able to watch local films such as Segunda Mano, Corazon: Ang Unang Aswang, Born To Love You, My Cactus Heart and Thelma
• I was able to download the movies like Pirate Radio, the movies mentioned above and other local films that I love
• I was able to watch the Game 2 of the greatest rivalry in UAAP, DLSU-ADMU with Erica, Sam, Czam, Dan, Judge, Moya, Katia, Kyle, Ange, Gerd and othersss
• I got my new baby, Canon 60D
• I was able to bond with TeamComm and MACS delegates during the Global Youth Summit 2012 in 3D: Design, Develop and Deliver
• I was able to watch Be Careful With My Heart and It’s Showtime

Out of those accomplishments, I wasn’t able to bond with my friends. But I’m sure we’ll have other time to bond and to catch up!!!

Yesterday, our grades for the First Term were released. I’m so happy and grateful that I got good grades especially for the two courses I am worried, afraid of - MASSCOM and INTPRIN. I thought I’ll flunk those two courses, but thank God I didn’t. I got 2.0 for both courses which is equivalent to 80-85. I can’t help but cry, shiver when I saw my grades for those courses, even the check mark on my Curriculum Audit. I’m so happy and grateful. Thank You.

Today’s the Grade Consultation Day and I didn’t go for I, together with my family, went to Cardinal Santos and GH. But, I told my BEAutiful friend, Bea, to get my the results of my Post Midterm Exam in MASSCOM (260 points). And thank God, I was one of the two students who passed the bloody exam. Thank You Lord God. Thank You. No words nor actions could express how thankful and grateful I am to You, my God. All the hardships are worth it. Thank You.

I’m not a Dean’s Lister for the First Term. But, I am really thankful to Him that I passed all of my courses especially my majors which are only offered once a year and are pre-requisite to the courses I’ll take next term which will start tomorrow. Thank You.

Tomorrow’s the start of my 5th Term in DLSU! Yay! A brand new term with more challenging, demanding, and stressful challenges yet a term filled with laughter, love and positivity. Here are my courses, for General Education Courses: I have HUMAART and INTOECO; for Social Science Elective: I have GLOBDEV; and for my majors: I have FOTOCOM, INSERCH, and PUBLISH. A brand new term to bounce back wiser, fiercer, stronger,tougher and better than ever.

For the past term, I used #KeepCalmAndBelieveICan, #KeepCalmAndGoForGold, and #SoHelpMeGod. This term, I’ll be more and more optimistic. And so, I’ll also use the folowing #KeepTheFaith, #PusoTiwalaPaniniwala and #FocusBeGratefulBeHumble.

Ohyeahhh! The most stressful and demanding term yet is finally over!!!

How did my 1st Term as a Communication Arts major went?

• As I said earlier, it was a stressful and a demanding term. I have three reasons why this term was a stressful and demanding one. First, it was my first time to take majors, four majors namely INTFILM (Introduction to Film), INTPRIN (Introduction to Print Media), MASSCOM (Mass Communication Theories) and INTBROD (Introduction to Broadcasting). As what was said by my INTPRIN Professor, we experienced “culture shock” because before we entered the program, we had “party all-day, all-night ” terms. Second, plus a pa-major course which I thought was an easy course, the WIKAKUL (Wika at Kultura) course. Spell HASSLE, W-I-K-A-K-U-L. The workload was just too much. But it was a fun course for I was with my close friends who were my group mates as well. I also took TREDTWO which was okay. Lastly, because I have three organizations for this year namely Team Communication (Professional Organization, FAST2011 (Batch Student Government of the College of Liberal Arts for ID 111), and Metro Alliance of Communication Students (MACS), I wasn’t to balance the three maybe because I prioritized my academic life.

What did I do to accomplish all the school works for this term?

• I just did one thing, BELIEVE. I believed that I will make it. I believed that my God has plans for me, that there’s a reason to everything that’s happening to me. I think of positive thoughts. Whenever I accomplish a difficult work, I rewarded myself with anything that I know that I deserve. Just like after the most anticipated MASSCOM Post Midterm Exam (260 points), I bought two shirts that are really, really close to my heart, Team Manila’s Ambassador of Positive Vibes shirt and Ambassador of Fun shirt. Just BELIEVE and you’ll make it.

Here are some of the quotations that helped me to survive this stressful and demanding term:

Tomorrow’s the start of my Term Break! Yay! I have 12 days to relax, to unwind, to loosen up, to chill. Here are the things I should accomplish before September 12:

• Spend time with family
• Catch up with best friends
• Upgrade Baby Mac OS to OS X Mountain Lion
• Watch Local Film such as The Healing, Thelma, The Reunion and more.
• Download the movies Pirate Radio and A Clockwork Orange plus other movies

Hello Tumblr Land! Long time, no post! Hihihi!

I already met all of my professors for this term! So far, so good… Hihihi! 

These past few days I was really busy reading the articles for different courses like INTPRIN, WIKAKUL, and last but not the least, MASSCOM! I can really say that my I was so drained for the past days and will be drained more in the days, weeks to come! Oh God! We really can’t have it all! No matter how good a person is in managing his time, one can only choose two out of the three: sleep, education, and social life. 

I know all of these hardships, trials, stress and all that, will be worth it in the end! I know… I believe it will be! 

I know and strongly believe that I am on the right track… We are on the right track where we can be the persons we are dreaming of.

As what I posted on my past text post,  I created a checklist that I should accomplish before the start of Sophomore Year. And here I those!!!

• Post all the major outputs I made last term here on Tumblr
• Fix and segregate the files I have in hand and on my baby
• Watch the movies, The Lucky One and Every Breath You Take
• Find new stuff that I’ll post on my Vision Board

Ohyeahhh! I was able to accomplish all those four! Hihihi!

So, awhile ago, I prepared the things I need for tomorrow - my notebook, etc.! Hihihi!

The 1st Term of my Sophomore Year will start tomorrow! I’m just so excited! First, I’m a CAM student now. Second, I’ll now take my majors. Third, I have two orgs where I will be able to develop my skills more. Fourth, I’m excited to meet my old and new friends! Lastly, I don’t know why, I’m just so excited!!!

9 DAYS TO GO!!!

In 9 days, my Sophomore Year will start which means my summer vacay will end on the 23rd! Hihihi!

So, here are the things I need to accomplish before May 24!

• Post all the major outputs I made last term here on Tumblr
• Fix and segregate the files I have in hand and on my baby
• Watch the movies, The Lucky One and Every Breath You Take
• Find new stuff that I’ll post on my Vision Board

On the other hand, here are the things that I should accomplish at the end of the 1st Term!

• Be INSPIRED and COMMITTED to produce QUALITY, EXCELLENT, TOP-NOTCH works now that I am about to take my majors, MASSCOM, INTFILM, INTBROD, and INTPRIN!
• Organize my time properly among my family, friends, academics, and two orgs, TeamComm and FAST2011 BSG!!!
• Save MONEY, a large amount of MONEY, a pretty large amount of MONEY!
• Wear simple yet fashionable outfits. Yes to Shirts!
• Be able to update my Tumblr Account despite the busy schedule college is giving me!

I also look forward to a fun, enjoyable and memorable trip abroad, for the first time, with family! Yay for that! :”»»>

Hooray!

Hihihi! I can now officially & finally say that 3rd Term & my Frosh Year are finally over! Thank You Lord God for being with me! I love You so much!

Last night, DLSU released the grades for the 3rd Term! I was so shocked, really shocked to get that *number* in a one-unit course! I immediately computed my GPA (Grade Point Average)… despite the *number* I got, I am still a Dean’s Lister; sad to say, getting that *number* will not permit a Lasallian to be a Dean’s Lister! :| Rants here! Rants there! RANTS EVERYWHERE! Still, I am very thankful to Him for the other grades that I got. I wasn’t able to sleep well last night; I was thinking and contemplating if I deserve that grade with the effort I gave to that subject…

Today’s the Grade Consultation Day! Together with #OTOCAM, Erica, Bea, and Czam, went to school! I also had my interview for FAST2011, the student government of our batch. Had fun with them! It was nice catching up with them! Hihihi! At around 2:40 was the scheduled time for the consultation for that one-unit course. I thought we have another classroom session for most of my coursemates were there, having the same agony as mine. Before she individually called us, she told us the different things she did for us to have a higher grade. She said that

“Yung mga magrerequest na i-adjust yung grades nila kase running kayo for honors, sorry, hindi yan gawain ng isang honor student. Kaya kayo naging honor kase mataas grades niyo, hindi dahil pinilit niyo lang prof niyo para umabot kayo sa quota.” (Not the exact words, yan yung gist nung sinabe niya and english pagkasabe niya. hoho.)

Make sense? Yes, it allowed me to realize what an Honor student is. She was calling the people who have a missing grade. Luckily, she called the name of my groupmates, Erica and Bea. She wasn’t able to record one worksheet that pulled our grades down. I asked her if there is a possibility if I could get the 0.5 I needed, and she said, may be. This quote of St. Pio of Pietrelcina immediately come into my mind:

Pray, Hope and Don’t Worry. Worry is useless. God is merciful and will hear your Prayers.

And now, I just saw my grade in that subject! I am still part of the Dean’s List! I will also be a part of the Recognition Day next term! Ohyeahhh! Thank You so much Lord God! I love You big time! I thank You for being with me these past days, weeks, months and terms. No words nor actions can explain how thankful and grateful I am to You, my God. I owe You everything. All of my triumphs and hardships are all for You. I offer these to You. Thank You Lord God!

That instance paved way to a realization. That we can’t always get what we want. That the world is round, sometimes you’ll be on top, sometimes you’ll be down. That we should always do our best in everything that we do, how major or minor the course or  the activity is.

Au revoir, Frosh Year!

Hello Tumblr Land! I am back! I am so back!

Hihihi! Today’s the last day of 3rd Term and my Frosh Year as well! Yay! Thank You Lord God for being with me ever since I entered De La Salle University! Thank You Lord God for all the successes and triumphs, as well as the hardships, struggles, and stresses that molded and crafted the person who am I today. Thank You Lord God! I offer all these to You! I love You big time!

Took SCIENVP and LBYENVP Final Exams awhile ago! Hihihi! After that, we chilled at Starbucks which served as our meeting place! Then, Erica, Bea, Czam, Ange, Faye, Diadge, Kyle and I proceeded to Gateway! We fitted in a small car! Imagine that? BEAT THAT! Hihihi! One of the best ridesss ever!

Since Czam and I are the celebrants for the month of April, we took them out for lunch @ Max’s Restaurant! Hihihi! The employees of Max’s serenaded us with a birthday song! Hihihi! That was epic! Thanks guyssss! :***** Then, our blockmate, Lea, joined us for lunch!

After that, we went to the Gateway’s Cineplex! We decided to watch a film, a horror film! OHMYGAHHH! It was my first time to watch a horror film in a movie house! We watched Still (Tai Hong), a horror movie from Thailand (I think)! Hihihi! When the film started, I told them “Dapat Moron 5 nalang eh! =))))” It’s really a fun experience to watch a horror film with friends! I super duper love the fourth horror story! I was laughing, laughing at a horror movie? Yes! Because of the Keana Reeves look-alike prostitute, John “Sweet” Lapus look-alike gay guy, good-looking straight guy, and the old lady who owns the motel! Since Czam, Bea, and Erica are now Communication Arts major, we hope that we will be able to make a horror movie in our future courses! Hihihi! Exciteddd! :”»»>

After that, LRT2 and LRT1 ride with Lea and Diadge! Hihihi! :D

And now, I’m homeeee! Hihihi!

Hello Summer Vacay! Even though I don’t have plans for this summer, I’ll still enjoy my vacay doing other stuff! This also means that I’ll be able to update my blog more frequently! Hihihi! I missed you, Tumblr Land! Now, I can truly say, I am BACK!
